HATPA - Open Rules

1 Tires, any type or cut. Maximum tire size 18.4 x 38”

2 Weight Classes; 8500,3500,7500, 3750, 6500,4000,5500, 4500, 5000,

3 Drawbar 20” maximum height and a minimum of 18” from center of the rear axle.

4 Frame modification is allowed but original wheelbase must be maintained.

5 Engine, Transmission and Rear-end must be of like kind and bolt together without adaptor plates.

6 Kill switch for gasoline engines or air shut-off for diesel engines are mandatory.

7 Wheelie Bars that can support the weight of the tractor with weights and have a minimum 25 sq. inch pad, no more than 10” above the ground and extend beyond the radius of the tire is mandatory.

8 Ignition systems of any type including rev limiters may be used.

9 Carburetors of any design must mount in original location but an adaptor plate of no more than 1” thick may be used.

10 Engine block, cylinder heads and manifolds must be OEM or any manufactures replacement of original or designed for pulling.

11 Engine RPM will be 3000 RPM maximum. Any engine running over 2500 RPM must have a scatter Blanket and Side-Shields of at least 1/16” steel or 1/8 aluminum and extend from the frame or center of the crank to the top of the Cylinder Block and be the entire length of the Block.

12 Fuel, Gas, Diesel or LP fuels only. No alcohol or nitrous oxide fuels allowed.

13 All rules will be interpreted by the Board of Directors. Any unforeseen problems or oversights will be based on the Board of Directors decision on that issue, with their rulings being final.

14 A dead man throttle is mandatory!
